Swiss Aquatics and Fuji City – Our History to Date

2024/03/29

The beginning of the exchanges between the Swiss Aquatics and Fuji City in Shizuoka Prefecture dates back to 2018.
Upon receiving information that Switzerland was having difficulty finding a campsite, a Shizuoka Prefecture official responsible for attracting pre-camps visited Zurich, Switzerland, in March 2018 to discuss the possibility of holding a camp in the prefecture. However, at that stage, it was unclear which pool venues could be used for the team, making it impossible to provide an immediate response.
Meanwhile, Fuji City had been coordinating to host camps for several national teams over a long period but had been unable to successfully negotiate conditions with each country.
Then came the camp request from Switzerland. Fuji City quickly moved forward with the effort to seize this opportunity, significantly advancing its recruitment efforts.

The history of our exchanges to date.
